When to Shampoo after a Perm

October 30, 2020 by Klara

Your hair may become wavy or curly for a period of time because of a perm. The reason is that it is a chemical treatment. Your permed hair can last for six months. You need to treat your permed hair. Also, it is essential to take care of differently than normal hair.

If you have permed hair, you may want to know when to shampoo after a perm. In this article, we will give you the answer. At the same time, we will show you steps to wash your permed hair.

Time to Wait before Washing your Hair After a Perm

It is best to wait three days after a perm before you decide to wash your hair. If you don’t do that, it can make your curls disappear. Also, it can damage your hair. Moreover, you also need to avoid using the hairdryer to dry your hair. Avoid it for a couple of weeks.

Get Professional Care

You should consider the Frankie Cochrane salon. Stylists from the salon have years of experience. Of course, they know what perm types are suitable for your hair as well as your lifestyle.

Moreover, you will also get helpful advice from them. They also let you know what you should do right now after your perm.

After Leaving the Salon

Like being told that you should wait 72 hours before washing your hair. Avoid letting it catch in the rain.

This way is to prevent the perm from being deactivated by water. Also, water can make your curls fall apart. If you plan to go swimming, don’t forget to wear a cap.

Keep in mind that hair accessories may lead to breakage. Therefore, you should not style your hair other than scrunching it with your fingertips.

When washing it for the first time, you need to use products made specifically for curls. Besides, you should look for conditioners with protein and minerals.

You should not blow-dry. Instead, you can use a diffuser since it can avoid excess drying. It is essential to use wide-toothed combs. They help to prevent your hair from getting damaged.

Perm Maintenance

You need quality care to maintain your curly hair. To prevent dry scalps, you can think about deep cleansing shampoos or deep conditioning treatments. You can get extra protection or nourishment from moisturizing curl-enhancing products.

When looking for shampoos for a perm, you need to avoid ones with sulfate, parabens, and alcohol since they may ruin your perm.

Besides, don’t try to highlight or color your hair for at least two weeks. Besides, it is essential to trim your hair regularly to keep the curls bouncy. Also, this way can help your hair become healthy.

Conclusion

After a perm, you need to adjust to the chemicals. Also, it is important to recover from the perming process. You should allow your permed hair to neutralize from the perm.

To do that, you need to give it the oxygen from the air. If you wash your hair soon, your hair may go back to the natural condition. Therefore, it is best to wait three days before washing it.

LITTLE ONDINE NAIL POLISH REVIEW

October 2, 2020 by Klara

I’ve never been a nail polish fan in the past. It was time consuming, it stained, I could never get it off, it constantly chipped and, worst of all, it made my usually very strong nails weak.

I was lucky enough to work with Little Ondine for a video shoot recently, where I had to put nail polish on in different situations and colours. From then on, I’ve been very much in love!

Set of Little Ondine Nail Varnishes

Little Ondine use natural resin, organic colourants and water. The nail polish is odourless too, so you can apply it wherever you are and not annoy anyone else, which is something everyone dislikes on public transport.

It’s extremely quick drying which is great, if you are like me and don’t have the patience to sit and let nail polish dry. Also, you can simply just peel off the colour once it dries which is great if you change your mind about a colour or outfit.

No need for base coat to protect the nail or top coat to give shine, just one coat is enough to give a vivid colour and a shiny coat!

My favourite has to be Waltz L802 – it’s so unbelievably beautiful. Finally, there is a glitter nail polish that comes off so effortlessly!

The reason I’m in love with this product is because it is so easy, natural, inexpensive and comes in so many different colours and even a selection of mattes!

If you like the sound of Little Ondine nail varnishes and want to give them a go, use the discount code ACR10, exclusive to readers of my blog, to get 10% off their website!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY FILMSTAR BRONZE AND GLOW REVIEW – WITH THE POWDER AND SCULPT BRUSH

October 2, 2020 by Klara

Firstly this packaging is stunning! So beautiful.

I found after I’d finished my base of foundation and powder for the first time of using this product I had to build it up, but now as I’ve used it for quite a few months I have learned to use it and also how to work with it, which is something everyone does with a new product, so now as it is getting warmer I don’t have as much powder on my face so the bronzer sticks to my skin quite quickly therefore I feel I don’t need that much product. Although I love to build both of them up for the night time, also they both make amazing eyeshadows!

There are extremely fine bits of shimmer within the bronzer, but virtually undetectable on the skin which is a good thing for me as I really dislike shimmer in products.

I do not need much of this product for daytime, especially with help from her powder and sculpt brush it does all the work for you with the shorter sides doing all the blending. It makes your cheekbones pop instantly just with one swipe.

The highlight is very pigmented, it is similar to Nars Albatross but less gold, so it is not a natural looking highlight, but could be if used and blended correctly.

I will insert swatches of both the Nars highlighter and Charlotte Tilbury’s for reference. Once I’ve found it…

I find that I don’t need much on the brush for the daytime just a quick dab of the brush and it will give you a soft summer sunset colour glow.

Description on the back, Bronze: Apply bronzer to cheek hollows, temples, jaw line, sides and tip of nose and blend.

Glow: Apply highlighter to top of cheek bones, centre of nose, bow of lips and brow bone to give you candle-lit skin.

So far I am obsessed with this product, I use it nearly everyday. It is so beautiful I will definitely be purchasing it again!

Have you tried this product before? What do you think?

Thank you for reading

L’OREAL PARIS GLAM BRONZE EAU DE SOLEIL – REVIEW

October 2, 2020 by Klara

This is a liquid bronzer with a tiny gold shimmer inside, “Weightless fresh bronzer, natural healthy tan. Our 1st liquid bronzer, radiant sunkissed glow, no makeup feel”.

I must admit that when I first tried this product out, I was scared as I have never used a liquid bronzer before. As I carried on and learned how to work with it, I became more confident and realised how easy it was.

The packaging is not very practical, it takes up a lot of room in my makeup bag, has no pump to get it out, which makes it harder to not waste the product as it is liquid form it just runs down my hand if I use my hand as my palette.

The packaging is exactly the same as the Nude Magique foundation, slightly runnier in thickness.

Glam Bronze Compared to Nude Magique foundation.

As you can see in this photo Glam Bronze is thinner and moves on my hand more than the Nude Magique foundation.

Both blended out.

Both blended out with flash to show shimmer.

It is very easy to use too much, (see photo) as there is no pump to get a small amount out, but if blended it can look natural, and give a beautiful sun-kissed glow.

It sets semi matte on myself, but if I use it over my powder it remains matte which is something I like about this product, considering the shimmer in the product it can only be detected if you look very close at the face.

With flash to enhance the shimmer.

A strong positive to this product is that once applied it does not look cakey on the skin unlike powder bronzers which can enhance this effect.

Blended across my arm, without flash.

Blended, with flash.

The smell is too strong, for me I do not want to smell that on my face all day. It is similar to how hairspray smells so if you are sensitive to strong fragrances bare this in mind because it is on your face.

It blends well with fingers or brush, I would recommend using a brush to make sure it is completely blended. I use my fingers and mainly my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, which is perfect for everything.

I think it will be good in particular for me in the beginning of summer when I need to darken my remaining winter foundations. Hopefully this will dilute the fragrance too, and of course for general bronzing.

For someone as pale as me, a little goes a very long way and the 30ml will last a long time which is great value for money!

Have you tried this liquid bronzer?

Thank you for reading!
